Every week, Fourth class and Senior Infants come together for paired reading. Senior Infants read books for fourth class and Fourth class help them with any words they are stuck on. They also discuss the books that they read. It’s one of our favourite parts of the week.

We had lots of fun outside.
We did a magnet hunt in our classroom to find out what was magnetic and what was non-magnetic.
We loved water play.
We have been having lots of fun during playtime .
We did the dancing raisin science experiment.
Spooktacular October!
We had lots of Halloween themed fun this month.
Here are some pictures during our Halloween themed Aistear.
We learned how to use spiders webs using chalk.
Luckily we had good weather this month so we did lots of PE stations.
We made spiders out of clay and match sticks, then painted them and added eyes. We also learned all about the life cycle of a spider and the different parts of a spider.
We used wool and paper plates to thread a mummy. It was fun, it looks cool and it is good for our fine motor skills.
Look at us in our costumes.
We became spooky scientists and made bubbling potions.
We played monster musical statues!
Back to School
Hello everyone. We have been busy working hard in Mrs. Coughlan’s senior infants. Take a look at what we have been up to.
Here is some of our beautiful school themed art that is currently decorating the school corridor. We hope you like it.
Here we are playing a maths game- cube races.. We loved this game.
We also went on a scavenger hunt around the school, where we had to look for various things around the school and tick them off if we found them.
We revised our tricky words by playing a tricky word board game.
We played some musical instruments along with the beat of different songs.
Here we are during aistear, making jigsaws, playing with playdough, building, cutting and sticking, role-playing or doing some art. This is our favourite time of the day. Our Aistear theme for September was school.
