Senior Infants have been planting fruit trees and hedges in the school garden last week and this week. They did fantastic work and had lots of fun. They learned lots about planting, the parts of plants and what they need to live. Special thanks to Mrs. O’ Carroll and Alan for planting with us and getting everything ready.

Merry Christmas Everyone !!!!
We have been doing all about Christmas and having lots of Christmas fun for the whole month of December. Take a look:
We had a new classmate too this month, his name was Snowy the elf. Here are some of his adventures:
The first week he arrived, he was isolating because of corona virus but we left him things in his box to keep him entertained.
Here is some of our Christmas art:
This big wall of art was done by ourselves and Miss. Doyle’s junior infants :
We even had a visit from Daidí na Nollag
Here are links to a song and poem we learned this Month
Happy Christmas From Senior Infants
Food, Glorious Food!
Our theme for November was food and we did lots of activities based around food and the restaurant. Have a look.
Here we are playing role play and pretending we are chefs, waitresses, waiters and customers.
It was science week so we did three experiments using things you would find in the kitchen. We had so much fun for Science weeks and we loved making predictions about what we thought would happen.
This experiment is called dancing raisins:
We also did a skittles experiment. This was our favorite.
We made lava lamps out of food coloring, oil , water and alka-seltzer .
Teacher apologies for any hands that were stained during this one!!!
Finally we learned all about magnets as we always see these on the fridge, but we did a magnet hunt around the class to see what else they can stick to.
We did some food themed art too, we hope you like it.
We are spooktacular!
Look at the Halloween fun we had!
We learned all about spiders, We even made our own spiders out of clay!!!!
We made spooky Halloween themed playdough creations!!
We had to cut out spiders and we had to make sure we kept all their 8 legs.
We learned how to draw spider webs with chalk and made a mummy out of wool.
We were witches and wizards in the role play area and made lots of spooky potions.
On our last day of school before midterm before Halloween, we dressed up.
