Here is some work for this week:
Maths : Topic : The days of the week
– Children learn and sing the days of the week song below
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3tx0rvuXIRg#menu
– Say all of the days of the week in order
-Answer questions about the days of the week such as: what day comes after Wednesday ? How many days are in a week? What day come before Tuesday? What days are the weekend? You can do the before and after questions for each of the days of the week.
– Practice reading the days of the week. You could write them on individual pieces of paper and hold each one up for children to read. Tuesday and Thursday are the ones they will find most difficult as they both begin with T. Get them to look at each of the days and look at the start and end of them.
– using the days of the week, each on a different piece of paper ,mix them up and ask the children to arrange them in order .
-Write the days of the week themselves. The children can practice writing each day individually or wrote them in order or both. They can do lots of practice of this
– you could write the days like this and have children fill in the blanks s_nd_y etc

We are all very special and very different in our senior infants class! Ask the kids to think about what makes them different and special and they can complete the following which is available on twinkl but if not you could draw something similar!
PE: Practice moving like these animals each day!
Music : Body percussion
Art: this week we can do some Kandinsky inspired art ! You can use paint or colours for this. You just draw lots of circles inside one another and colour or paint them
Gaeilge: Learn the new words in the pictures given ask them the question and help the children say the answers! The question means what is Liam doing and then they will answer Liam is __ . They could ask you the question am you answer . You can also call out what Liam is doing and they have to draw the picture to match. You could even change liams name to their name for the drawing activity .
SESE: people who help us. Talk about people who help us in our lives. Read the following clues for the children and have them draw who they think it is.
Religion : say and practice the Hail Mary
i hope this is clear for you! Again if you need any help or advice please let me know ! If you don’t get everything done don’t worry I would be glad if you get any of it done .
I hope to hear from you soon. Stay safe
