World Book Day

World Book Day 2018 takes place on Thursday, March 1st. As part of this event we are encouraging children (and parents) to enjoy the pleasures of reading and SHARE A STORY on World Book Day… and every day. Spending just 10 minutes a day reading and sharing stories with children can make a crucial difference to their outcome and it’s fun for all involved. You can read together anywhere and everywhere, from breakfast to bedtime! In the park, on the train, on the sofa, on a plane – reading and sharing stories can happen anywhere at any time.

Term 1

Miss. Kenny’s first class have all worked very hard and had many new experiences this first term.  The pupils successfully attended their first swimming lessons in Forest Park Leisure Centre. They participated in a fascinating owl talk. The class learned new hip hop moves at their dance lessons. Through their lessons, the pupils explored topics such as transport, games of old and new, houses, teeth and toys from decades gone by and from different parts of the world. Within art they displayed their fantastic artistic ability creating pencil holders, pompom autumn owls, Halloween skeletons and bats, clay pinch pot mouth monsters, house monoprints, clay Santa’s and Christmas cards.  The class have indeed been very busy! Here are some photos of the class hard at work.
