Miss Holohan’s 3rd class: 2nd-5th June 2020
Hello everybody! 😊
I hope you have had a fantastic weekend in the sunshine with your families and are keeping safe and well.
I have added some more activities for this week. Just do the best that you can. Remember to get lots of fresh air and take breaks. Keep smiling and stay positive.
Parents/ Guardians,
Please do not hesitate to contact me @ missholohan3rd@yahoo.com if you have any questions about the work that I have assigned.
Kind Regards,
S.Holohan.
PE: See timetable.
English: See timetable
Maths: NWMM, Tables Revision and Mathemagic 3.
The topic I have assigned for this week (Tues-Thurs) is Lines and Angles. Please explore this topic through talk and discussion first and then find different examples around the house and outside if possible. Eg: What right angles/sets of parallel lines/horizontal lines/vertical lines can you spot in your kitchen, sitting room, garden etc. Make some lists.
For Friday I would like you to read each word problem on page 174 with your child. Ask them to underline the clues that will help them figure out what operation to use (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division) and then allow them to complete them independently in a copy/on a sheet of paper.
Activity Sheet: The Positives of Lockdown Display. Link below.
