Pasture to Plate Prize

  1. Today was a great day! We finally got to reap the awards from winning the Agri Aware Pasture to Plate competition. We had visits from a  local farmer, local butcher from Redmond’s Butchers and we also had the chefs from The Kitchen in Gorey. The children learned all about how our beef stew came from pasture to our plates! We loved the yummy stew so much so that we didn’t leave any for Mr. Cronin!!! Check out more photos of all the fun on the Agri Aware Facebook page.

PASTURE TO PLATE WINNERS!!!

We are so thrilled to announce that Ms Waters’ first class have been chosen along with 5 other schools in Ireland to get a visit from a chef and farmer to cook our delicious recipe we created for the competition. In April, the chef and farmer are coming to St Joseph’s to take the children on a journey of their dish, from a pasture to plate. A huge thank you to local companies Naturally Cordial, Killowen Yoghurts & Ballycross Apple Farm to donating all of the ingredients to make our dish come to life. And also a big well done to all of the boys and girls who put in so much hard work and creativity to make it all possible ☺️
