Sports Day in Senior Infants

The three Senior Infant classes had a brilliant day at their sports day this week. We did lots of fun activities including the parachute, obstacle courses, throwing practice with javelins, hoops and beanbags, running races, crab races, relay races, as well as potato and spoon races and sack races. The children had lots of fun in the sunshine and finished the day off with ice pops and sweets. Well done to everyone for a great day!

Planting in the school garden.

Senior Infants have been planting fruit trees and hedges in the school garden last week and this week. They did fantastic work and had lots of fun.  They learned lots about planting, the parts of plants and what they need to live.  Special thanks to Mrs. O’ Carroll and Alan for planting with us and getting everything ready.

We had a new classmate too this month, his name was Snowy the elf. Here are some of his adventures:

The first week he arrived, he was isolating because of corona virus but we left him things in his box to keep him entertained.

Here is some of our Christmas art:

This big wall of art was done by ourselves and Miss. Doyle’s junior infants :

We even had a visit from Daidí na Nollag

Here are links to a song and poem we learned this Month

🎄Spreading Christmas Cheer 🎄

All the children of St. Joseph’s designed a stocking, bauble, present or Christmas jumper to display in Gorey Shopping Centre. Be sure to take a look!

A big thank you to the SET team and Alan for organising such a beautiful display.
