P.E. with 5th Class

To end our 6 weeks of Paired Reading with 5th class, we went to the hall where the 5th class took the reigns to teach the Senior Infants some fun games. The activities were very well organised by the senior children who completed a leadership programme during the week. Thank you to Mr. Kavanagh’s class, we all had great fun!

All the children of St. Joseph’s designed a stocking, bauble, present or Christmas jumper to display in Gorey Shopping Centre. Be sure to take a look!

Mr. Kavanagh June 22nd

Hi all as we enter our last week of work I just want you all to partake in some fun activities this week. Hopefully the good weather will return for us during the week. Try keep as active as possible. Some ideas for things to do this week:

  • Joe Wicks workouts online.
  • Tj Reid fitness class Tuesdays and Thursdays online.
  • Scavenger hunt in your house or garden. (http://www.stjosephsgorey.ie/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Scavenger-Hunt-House-and-Garden.pdf)
  • STEM challenges: Build a windmill with matchsticks, Build a tower out of uncooked spaghetti, design something that will float on water, Design and make a musical instrument using materials from around the house.

In what has been a difficult year for us all I would like to thank you all for your hard work throughout the year , especially during these difficult challenging times. I hope you all have a great summer and I look forward to seeing you all next year.
