Active School Week

We had a fun filled time for Active School Week. From dancing and football to HIIT workouts we enjoyed moving and exercising with all our friends!

Happy Easter!

Fun in room 3!

It’s been a busy few weeks in school. We have been taking part in the Active Schools ‘Run Around Ireland’ challenge along with all of the other classes in the school.

The 3rd of March was World Book Day and we all dressed up as characters from our favourite books, read stories together and had lots of fun!

Even though we only had three days in school the 13th to 15th of March were some of our busiest days as we celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge and St. Patrick’s Day. On Wednesday we joined the rest of the school for a fantastic ceolchoirm where we sang songs as Gaeilge, listened to some talented students singing and saying poems and enjoyed some Irish dancing. We also wore green and did St. Patrick’s Day art.

World Book Day Celebrations 2023

World Book Day was a huge success here in St.Joseph’s Primary School. To celebrate World Book Day each child was given a World Book Day token to encourage reading . Every child could dress up as a favourite character from their favourite book and there was some fantastic costumes parading the school for the day . As a whole school we celebrated this day through a special announcement of DEAR time over the intercom . Classes were busy designing their own book covers as well as drawing their favourite characters . It was a positive experience for all and great effort was invested by parents, teachers and students . We all thoroughly enjoyed the day . Happy Reading !
