Badminton Club Update

The St. Joseph’s Gorey Badminton Club is thriving with more members than ever before! Open to 5th and 6th class students, our club has been buzzing with excitement as we focus on improving our doubles game skills. The team has been working hard in preparation for the upcoming Leinster competition in January, and everyone is giving their best effort during practice. Recently, we were fortunate to have Garry from Leinster Badminton visit the school to lead a special training session, offering valuable tips and techniques to help us reach our full potential.

September Completed

We have been in school for one whole month now, and we have done a lot!
We have started to learn and practise our letter sounds.
We fixed Humpty Dumpty! We had our first Hip Hop class and loved it. Maths stations is always lots of fun. Some 6th class pupils joined us for stations and did some paired reading with us.

We really enjoyed all of our PE lessons, following the crazy path and throwing beanbags at a target. There were no casualties surprisingly!

The 26th of September was SNA appreciation day and we really appreciate Siobhan and Orna who are working in our class this year. Thank you!

Creagh College TY Future Leaders Blitz

Creagh College TY Future Leaders Blitz

On September 13th, some of Rackard League football girls participated in an excellent blitz organised by Creagh College, along with many schools in the area. The girls put on a gallant display with 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss in their group games. With such success, the girls went through to the shield semi final where they faced a strong team from Gaelscoil Moshíológ. The girls got the better of them and came out with a win to take on a strong Kilanerin side.

The girls played their hearts out and were victorious! We are so proud of the girls after such a wonderful display. Mollie won player of the tournament. Maith sibh, cailiní!
