Olympic Handball Finals
Well done to the girls and boys u11 and u13 teams who participated in the regional finals in Castletown playing against teams from Wicklow and Carlow. All our four teams have now qualified for the Leinster Finals to be held in March in Gormanstown in Co.Meath, where, they will play against other county representatives from across Leinster. They were presented with their medals at school assembly. Well done and best of luck in the Leinster Finals.
January Skipping Challenge
Riley has skipped into 2024 by completing an incredible 4,335 skips over the course of the month of January. Mag set Riley a target of reaching 1,000 skips for the month but Riley was determined to smash this goal. Spending ten minutes every day skipping to cool beats, his skipping skills improved incredibly. Riley has been impressing everyone with his skipping skills and inspiring lots of classes to grab the skipping ropes and start practicing. Well done Riley!
Olympic Handball
Boys and girls from 3rd up to 6th class have been busy practicing their Olympic handball skills at break times. We had practice matches against Carlow Educate together to help us prepare for the regional competition on February 8th.
Olympic Movement Breaks
Over the past 4 weeks all classes have been participating in the Dare to Believe Olympic Movement Breaks. Every day a Team Ireland Olympic ambassador guided us through their fun and engaging challenge. The active break made us feel great and we found we were able to focus better on our work afterwards.
