Active Slogan Winners
Well done to the boys and girls in Ms. Waters 4th class whose slogan was chosen as the overall school winner. Their slogan encourages us to avoid staying inside too much and to get out and be active ‘Avoid the crazy, don’t be lazy’. Their prize was a fun filled day of activities in school which they got to pick themselves. Highlights were HITT, dance, dodgeball, badminton, hurling skills session given by Wexford Cian Molloy and to finish it off, we had a penalty shoot out against Mr. Cronin. Also, we would like to thank Dara from Cullen’s Fruit Farm who donated each child pots of yummy fruit and juices.
Active on World Book Day
Well done to all classes participating in our Active walk on World Book day. Some classes managed to correctly guess all the book quotes that were stuck all around the school grounds. Thanks to the Active Committee for their help in creating the walk route and picking the quotes.
Leinster Finalists
On Monday March 4th, St. Josephs had 4 teams that travelled up to Gormanstown, Co. Meath to compete in the Olympic Handball Leinster finals. Each of our teams played three matches and showed great skill and team work. A stop into Burger King on the way home was one of the highlights of the day. We look forward to competing again next year.
Badminton🏸
5th and 6th class Badminton players competed in the Leinster Badminton Championship in Baldoyle on 1st February. The boys and girls played doubles and represented the school very well on the day.
