Volcanic Eruptions in … Ms Rochford’s 2nd!
We conducted volcanic eruption experiments with our handmade volcanoes and formed hypotheses as to why this happens. Then we wrote procedures on how to do this as part of procedural writing. Finally, in another Science lesson, we discovered why and how materials react to cause the eruptions.

Birds of prey and owls in Miss Kinsella’s 2nd Class!
We had the privilege to meet and talk to Colin Travers who showed us some beautiful owls and birds. We learned about different breeds of owls and birds of prey from Ireland and different countries such as tawny owls and barn owls. Here’s some photos of us with some of the birds!

Feathered Friends in 1st Class
Today we had a visit from a local bird expert, Colin. Colin brought in lots of different birds to the classroom. We learned so much from him and got to meet and pet some of the birds. We especially loved meeting the owl babies, they were so cute(Even if they did go toilet on our table!). Colin also let us see one of the birds flying across the classroom. It was really cool!
