Olympian School Visit, 13.3.24

Ms Rochford’s and Ms Kinsella’s 2nd classes entered a competition to have a school visit from an Olympian. I am delighted to say we were successful! A very well done to the children!

The Olympian sprinter, Marcus Lawler, will visit the school on 13th March next. He will spend two hours at the school which will encompass a whole school assembly. This will be followed by a presentation, Q&As, activities and demonstrations, initially with all 2nd classes and then with 5th and 6th classes.  Click on the links below to find out more about Marcus Lawler.

January Skipping Challenge

Riley has skipped into 2024 by completing an incredible 4,335  skips over the course of the month of January. Mag set Riley a target of reaching 1,000 skips for the month but Riley was determined to smash this goal. Spending ten minutes every day skipping to cool beats, his skipping skills improved incredibly. Riley has been impressing everyone with his skipping skills and inspiring lots of classes to grab the skipping ropes and start practicing. Well done Riley!
