Question 1,3 are based on rounding numbers.
When you are rounding to the nearest 100 you must look at your tens. If it is above 50 it rounds up to the next 100. If it is 49 or below round down. e.g. 236 = 200, 456=500
When you are rounding to the nearest 1000 you must look at the hundreds. If it is above 500 it rounds up to the next 1000. If it is 499 or below it rounds down e.g. 1779 =2000, 1239 = 1000
When completing question 6 remember that you cannot take a bigger number from a smaller number.
Question 8 is about adding time while question 9 is about subtracting time.

Question 1-4 is based on decimals, try to remember the work we completed both in our mental maths and mathemagic. Look back to that chapter to help you.
Question 5-10 are based on length. Remember 1m = 100cm, 1 km=1000m

Question 1 you need to create two multiplication and two division sentences for example:
a. 8×3=24 ; 3×8=24 ; 24÷8=3 ; 24÷3=8
Question 2 – look at the numbers that are missing /replaced
Question 3 – the bigger sum has been broken down into two smaller sums.
Question 4 – long multiplication – 2 lines of multiplication using the magic zero
Question 5 – Connect the answers
Question 6 – Short division with and without remainders
Question 7-10 Problems – remember to use the RUDE strategy – Read, Underline, Draw, Estimate

Question 1 – Find the area – counting the squares, putting half squares together to form one full square. Remember to write cm2
Question 2 – Find the perimeter of rectangles- the outside of the shape e.g. length 6cm, width 4cm = 6cm+6cm+4cm+4cm= 20cm
Question 3 – Symmetry
Question 4 – Remember 1kg=1000kg – Look back to the notes contained in the other post based on weight
Question 5 – a. convert all the numbers to decimals first then add
b. remember 9.5 is the same as 9.50
