Work for Third Class April 20th – 24th 2020:
Hello Third Class,
Hope you are all keeping safe and well and had a lovely Easter filled with fun and sweet things! Here is some work to keep you busy for the next week. If parents wish to contact me to discuss any aspect of the work, my email address is misskinsella@outlook.com and I can answer any questions there – no matter how big or small! Don’t be afraid to email! Any work you complete, you can send on via email and I can read through it and correct it. I have uploaded a sample timetable (at the very bottom of this post) on how to allocate completing the work each day, but you can complete the work in any way/any day which suits you best. There will be a separate post with work for the following week. Try complete as much work as you can, but just try your best. Stay safe and keep washing your hands! NB* Work for April 27th – May 1st is in a separate post*
**Any work with 2 asterisks is work to complete if you have finished the rest of that unit of work.

Maths:
- Hit The Button: Revise your tables using this website and/or your tables book or any other websites you may have found. We have covered 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 in our tables so far, so practising regularly is important.
- Mental Maths: Complete the next week of Mental Maths questions, problem solving and Friday review.
- Mathemagic: Chapter 22/23 Multiplication and Division of 7. We covered groups of 7 in our tables so these two chapters will help revise these tables.
- Chapter 22: Complete pgs 107/108 – follow the instructions on the page which will tell you to write the addition + sentences and also the multiplication sentences X. Answer the questions on these pages into a copy, ruling your margins, writing a title and date. Don’t worry it can be any sheet or copy – it doesn’t have to be a maths copy. Spend 2-3 days on this chapter of revision.
- Chapter 23: Complete pgs 109/110 – follow the instructions on the pages of writing the subtraction sentence and division sentence.
History:
- Read Unit 10: Transport (underneath) Read pg 80/81 this week, focus on the timeline of the change in transport – was it quick or slow changes? Look at the photos in the book and compare to what you would see outside nowadays.
Geography/Science:
- Unit 17: Heat
- Read pgs 100/101 (underneath) and answer questions A,B,C onto a sheet or into a copy (rule your margin, title and date)
- ***Experiments on these pages are optional, if you wish to complete them, please do so and you can email the results of your experiments to my email if you wish.
Art: You can create something at home if you wish, or colour in a mindfulness colouring sheet. I’ve included one from Twinkl but you can do your own one if you prefer.
PE: Go Noodle have some great workouts as does Joe Wicks – The Body Coach. His workouts are on YouTube and he does one online each morning too!
SPHE: Healthy eating is important. It’s essential to make sure our diets (what we eat) are filled with foods that are nutritious and good for our bodies (along with having the odd treat too!) Have a look at the food pyramid and see what foods you eat are present on it. Remember if it’s the bottom of the pyramid, you need to make sure it’s in your diet regularly, and if it’s near the top you should have fewer of those foods.
Religion:
- ‘Grow in Love’ read pgs 64 and 66 including the poem. These pages focus on Pentecost where the Holy Spirit was sent to the people.
****You can complete this work in any way you wish. It might be easiest to space out the work of each subject over a number of days: as shown in the sample timetable which may be of use to you. This is just an example, you can complete this work in what way suits you best. Any questions, just email me misskinsella@outlook.com
Stay safe, stay healthy and stay well
Miss Kinsella.
