Hello again everyone! I cannot believe it is May already! I was thinking of you all on Saturday on what should have been your Holy Communion. Hopefully we will get to celebrate soon.
Here is work for you to do this week. Remember to try and do a little of each subject every day and keep a routine. As Monday was a Bank Holiday, we got the day off school work! Please do not get worried about getting all of this done. Just try your best. My email address is claire.lawlor@stjosephsgorey.ie. You can use this to contact me or send me your work. Well done to all who have sent work so far. You are doing great! Hope to see ye all soon!

On Friday you will need to look at the poster below and listen to this track. When the lady calls out a word/phrase, you must find it, put your finger on it and repeat it. In your copy, I want you to write out five “Cad atá á dhéanamh ag ____?” questions and answers in your copy. I’ve included a photo example below. If you’re stuck, look back on Thursday’s video.
SESE:
This week we are learning about hospitals. We will start with page 67 of your Small World book. There are new words for you to learn on the top of the page. Follow the instructions on the page.
Next we are going to do page 68. Part A involves looking at the photo of nurses in their uniform and answering questions. Here is a short video of how nurses’ uniforms have changed over the years.
For Part B, you listen to Mary talking about when she was a nurse and answer the questions. Click here for the sound clip.
The last page we will be looking at this week is page 69. We hear Jimmy and Caoimhe talking about their experiences in hospital and then you answer the questions. Click on their names above to listen to what they have to say.
When you have finished these pages, click on this link to play a short quiz about the vocabulary from this week. Use your initials as your nickname.
Music:
For this week, I want you to listen to “Let it Be” by the Beatles. I used to think it was about Our Lady, but it was written by Paul McCartney about his own mother, Mary. Here is a link to the song. I want you to write down what you think about the song. Do you like it? Why? Why not?

Please continue to revise your prayers daily. Remember if you’ve lost your sheet you can click here to print and download another one.

Art:
Design a poster for a doggy holiday camp Jasper might like to go to.
Mrs. Murphy:
1) Continue Snip one per fortnight and do a weekly test .
2) Toe by toe daily until children get three consecutive dots.
3) Print off dolch list one and do five words a night until they know all five. Mrs. Murphy normally writes them on flash cards and when they get it right, she puts a dot on the back. If they get three dots, she puts into a envelope to go over at a later date . If you go to https://www.enchantedlearning.com/dolch/worksheets.shtml you can access dolch lists and activities based on them. Dolch High-frequency words represent 220 words that make up between 50 and 75 percent of all print in English and are therefore so important.
4) Continue Maths made easy and Lexia on laptops if you have them
