Ms. Conway 2nd Class Work 5th-8th May

Hello 2nd Class, Parents/ Guardians.

I hope you are all safe and well and that you had a nice Bank Holiday Weekend!

Please note that the work listed below (Tuesday 5th- Friday 8th May) is a general guideline and there is no pressure to get it all completed, Just do what you can (a little bit each day)! I know it is hard to complete the work when the children do not have all of their books at home. Try your best! Please do not hesitate to contact me on: marie.conway@stjosephsgorey.ie if you need any assistance or if you would like to send on any completed work. All written work can be done in your homework copy/ a spare copy or on sheets that you might have at home. Please remember to rule your copy, write the date and heading.

Many thanks,

Stay Safe and Take Care!

MS. MURPHY’S WORK

1) Continue Snip one per fortnight and do a weekly test.
2) Toe by toe daily until children get three consecutive dots.
3) Print off dolch list one and do five words a night until they know all five! I normally write them on flash cards and when they get it right I put a dot on back ! If they get three dots I put into a envelope to go over at a later date. If you go to  https://www.enchantedlearning.com/dolch/worksheets.shtml  you can access dolch lists and activities based on them. Dolch High-frequency words represent 220 words that make up between 50 and 75 percent of all print in English and therefore so important!
Stay Safe 🙂
