Mrs. Sinnott’s Work for May 11th to 15th

Hello to all my Senior Infants!

I hope you are all keeping well! I am so impressed with all the photos of your written work, drawings etc that I have received this week. Keep up the great work.! 🙂 If you would like to email photos of completed work, drawings etc or ask me any questions regarding the homework, you can email me at mrs.sinnottstjosephs@gmail.com

Please do not worry if you are finding it hard to access the books online, as long as you do a little bit of numeracy and literacy everyday that’s the most important thing. A possible daily routine could be as follows:

  1. 15 mins of reading.
  2. 15 mins of a written activity  such as ‘Our News’, sentence work, dictation, revising the Jolly Phonics sounds etc. This written activity can be based on any subject.
  3. 15 mins of Maths whether it be oral or written work such as addition, subtraction, money, time, shapes etc
  4. 15 mins of PE such as ‘GoNoodle’ or ‘Cosmic Kids’
  5. 15 mins of SESE- for example: learning about different countries, different animal habitats, the life cycle of plants, famous Irish people etc
  6. 15 mins of Art- draw what you see, paint pictures of what ‘Summer means to me’ etc
  7. 15 mins of online numeracy or literacy games on websites such as ‘Topmarks’

The main thing to remember is that each child is different and whether they complete 15 mins of learning per day or 2 hours per day, everyone is trying their best. We will be there to help and support your child when we return to school! 🙂

Note regarding the Senior Infants School Tour:

As our school is now closed until September, the Senior Infants school tour to the Chocolate Garden will obviously not be taking place. I have emailed the Chocolate Garden in relation to the deposit we paid earlier this year to secure our tour date so hopefully we can return the full amount that each of you have paid in the new school year. I will be thinking of all our Senior Infants on May 15th and all the fun we would have had but we will make up for it next year! 🙂
