Hello again everyone. Please find below the work for the week ahead. I have also included a sample timetable for those who might want to follow it to help divide the work out evenly throughout the week.
If you would like to send me pictures of your child’s work or have any questions my email address is cgordonstjosephs@gmail.com. Thank you to those who have already sent me pictures, it was lovely to see them all. Keep up the great work at home and do not feel like you have to get all of the work completed, do what you can with your child 🙂
Kind Regards,
Caroline Gordon
English
Sounds:
- Jolly Phonic sound ‘oi‘ – sing the song, say the sound, do the action. Draw pictures of words containing the ‘oi’ sound e.g. oil, boil, soil, coin, etc. If capable, write the words under the pictures
- Continue to revise all sounds completed to date
Word Boxes /Reading
- Read Word Box 3A and 4A (below)
- Continue to read books regularly to your child at home
Tricky Words
- New tricky words ‘like‘ and ‘have‘- Write out these tricky words three times. Put them into sentences orally
- Revise all tricky words (if your child is finding the tricky words hard to remember, just focus on the old ones before moving on)
Handwriting
- Handwriting booklet: Letters b and p
Letter b (Draw a straight back just like me. Don’t forget to add a belly for b)
Letter p (Pop on down, then up you see. Finish it off with a little pea) - Some parents have contacted me regarding the handwriting booklet as some of the letters are missing from the book. If the letters are missing then you can download the “Letter Formation Workbook” free from the Twinkl website and do pages 3 and 17 (below) to practise the letters ‘b’ and ‘p’. ( www.twinkl.ie/offer : Under “new to Twinkl” create an account and make sure to enter the offer code IRLTWINKLHELPS )
