Please click on the above link if you would like to print out this week’s homework. This is not compulsory, it is entirely up to you.

Work for June 2nd– 5th

Hello to all my Senior Infants!

I hope you are all keeping well! I am so impressed with all the photos of your written work, drawings etc that I have received this week. Keep up the great work.! 🙂 If you would like to email photos of completed work, drawings etc or ask me any questions regarding the homework, you can email me at mrs.sinnottstjosephs@gmail.com

The majority of you now have all the Senior Infants books at home so if you would like to complete these books at your own pace that is no problem. If you do not have the books at home, please do not worry if you are finding it hard to access the books online, as long as you do a little bit of numeracy and literacy everyday that’s the most important thing. As we are now in our final month of Senior Infants, I will be reducing the workload and focusing mainly on English and Maths. A possible daily routine could be as follows:

  1. 15 mins of reading.
  2. 15 mins of a written activity such as a literacy worksheet (these can be found at the bottom of this document) ‘Our News’, sentence work, dictation, revising the Jolly Phonics sounds etc. This written activity can be based on any subject.
  3. 15 mins of Maths whether it be oral or written work such as a Maths sheet (these can be found at the bottom of this document)  addition, subtraction, money, time, shapes etc

The main thing to remember is that each child is different and whether they complete 15 mins of learning per day or 2 hours per day, everyone is trying their best. We will be there to help and support your child when we return to school! 🙂 However if you would rather your child complete more or less work, that is completely up to you. If you would like extra work, the ‘Twinkl’ website has some great school closure packs that cover a variety of subjects and topics if you would like to print these off. Type’ Senior Infants School Closure Pack’ into the Twinkl search bar and you will a variety of worksheets etc available to download and print.
