Hello everyone,
It is hard to believe we have reached the last week of this very different and unexpected school year. Well done to all of the boys and girls for their hard work and kindness throughout the year-seeing your big smiles every day from September to March and seeing photos of your learning since March made me a proud and happy teacher. I have loved being your teacher and look forward to seeing all the great things you do in the future. Well done all you superstars!
To all the parents, thank you for your support and dedication since the school closed. I know it has been very difficult for you all but I appreciate your help in continuing the children’s learning and enjoyed speaking to many of you via email.
I wish you all a happy and safe Summer,
Miss Doyle
Below I have listed some activities for you to choose from this week. We are taking a well-earned break from academics and having some fun. As always if you want to send me photos or have any questions or concerns my email address is katiedoylestjosephs@gmail.com.
Activity 1
Memories Poster
Print the page below or draw a similar template. Draw a picture in each box and chat about your memories of junior infants.
Activity 2
Create a board game
Print or draw the template below and decorate. You could write tricky words in some of the boxes or draw a symbol in some boxes so that if you land on that symbol you have to do an action. Enjoy playing your game with your family.
Activity 3
Be the teacher
It is your turn to be the teacher! Think of something you are good at that you could teach the people in your house. If you wish you can complete the lesson plan below. Set up a mini classroom and make sure your students are ready to learn.
Activity 4
What have you learned?
Draw or write about what you have learned this year.
Activity 5
Roll and draw
Roll a dice and check the grid to choose each part of your monster. Add your own ideas if you wish!
