At 12 noon on Tuesday 15th of March, schools around the island of Ireland remembered the events which took place at Easter time, 100 years ago. Each school marked this occasion in their own unique way to accompany the raising of the Tricolour and the reading of the Proclamation of Independence. Classes in St. Joseph’s sang commemorative songs, worked collaboratively on 1916 projects and studied those heroes who lost their lives 100 years ago for the sake of their country’s freedom.
