Students from St. Joseph’s PS once again travelled south to New Ross, to compete against the chess kids of Co Wexford’s primary schools 5^th March 2016 . This time we were awarded second place, after New Ross CBS . Onwards and upwards !

But the highlights of the day for many, apart from the seven  chess games ,were the yummy burgers, chicken nuggets, sausages and chips . And the half hour playtime in the glorious spring sunshine .

And St Joseph’s made history by having a girl represent the school for the first time ever … the delightful Alicia !
